Dual Decay– Abstract Skull Mixed Media Painting on Canvas

“Duality of Decay” is a Dust & Beau original that started as a giant roll of raw canvas we absolutely wrecked with paint. We splattered it, dragged it, abused it, then carved out two sections and stitched them back together with a raw, exposed seam — on purpose, because perfection is boring and scars tell better stories.

Two skulls rise out of the chaos: one drowned in cold blue shadows, the other exploding in neon pink drips and heat-pressed fragments. The whole thing feels like a fight between life, rot, and everything in between — held together by a single messy seam we refused to hide. It’s punk reconstruction, stitched entropy, and beauty born out of wreckage.

PROCESS
Acrylic, spray paint, scraped pigment, stitched seams, heat-pressed fabric layers — all the good reckless stuff. We painted the canvas first, cut it apart, then reattached it with raw machine seams to keep the edge exposed.
Prints are professionally scanned and turned into archival giclées on canvas or fine-art paper.
