Silent Abyss is a Dust & Beau original, built from wreckage, instinct, and a whole lot of black leather we shredded by hand. We tore, distressed, and sculpted the leather into jagged layers, then wrapped it around a painted face trying to break through the dark — half-buried, half-reborn. It’s beauty clawing its way out of the wreckage. It’s calm inside chaos. It’s the moment before a scream or a sigh, depending on how you’re wired.

This piece hits that place where punk grit meets surreal quiet — a portrait that doesn’t whisper, doesn’t explain, just exists with raw, textural honesty. If you like your art a little feral and a subdued, this one’s for you.

PROCESS
We hand-painted the portrait first, then destroyed and rebuilt the surface by layering distressed leather, tearing it into shape. Every fold, rip, and raised edge is sculpted by hand. The texture has weight — you feel the piece before you even touch it.
