ABOUT THE ORIGIN

Hemipristis serra — also known as the snaggletooth shark — lived during the Miocene epoch (roughly 5 to 20 million years ago). Recognized for its distinctive alternating serrated teeth, this predator occupied warm coastal waters and was built for fast, aggressive hunting. Fossilized shark teeth form when minerals gradually replace the original tooth material over millions of years, preserving their exact shape, serrations, and character. Long used as talismans across cultures, shark teeth represent resilience, instinct, and adaptability, believed to protect the wearer and strengthen one’s drive to survive, evolve, and face the unknown.

PROCESS

We created a mold from a real Hemipristis fossil tooth, then cast it in 925 sterling silver, preserving every natural ridge and edge. Each pendant is finished with selective oxidation to deepen the texture, while the chain is solid sterling silver for lasting durability and clean aesthetic balance.
