Golden Key Upcycled + Repurposed Carhartt Jacket by Dust and Beau

This handmade unisex jacket by Dust & Beau is a one-of-a-kind piece built from deconstructed and repurposed Carhartt overalls — reconstructed into a durable, workwear-rooted base with a raw, soulful edge. The back features a striking skeleton Lady of Guadalupe graphic, contrasted with leopard print accents and handwritten text elements that give the jacket a lived-in, narrative feel. Finished with subtle hardware, metal skulls, and grommet detailing, it’s a gritty, heartfelt blend of workwear and artwear.

PROCESS
We cut apart vintage Carhartt overalls, restructured the panels, and rebuilt them into a fresh jacket silhouette. From there, we layered in the Lady of Guadalupe imagery, added leopard print patches, and incorporated script across the sleeve to bring depth and intention to the piece. A low-profile sleeve pocket and select metal hardware add dimension without overwhelming the artwork. As always, this jacket is handmade in our studio, unisex in spirit, and completely one of one.
